Ned Bushnell received a BFA from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana in 1994 and holds a degree in Photography.
Ned has worked on the book Someone's in the Kitchen published by Dayton Hudson Corporation and seen in Dayton's, Marshall Fields & Hudson's / 1992. Ned is mostly recognized for his featured photograph on the cover in Outdoor Illinois magazine in May 1996.
Ned is also the owner of Walnut Creek Farms. Walnut Creek Farms is a 950 acre grain and cattle agricultural enterprise located in Northern Illinois. YieldTech, the geographic positioning firm specializing in soil testing for improved nutrient management and where Ned is a co-owner, is a the future of better farming practices. The Ogle County Soil and Water Conservation District has named Ned the Conservation Farmer of the Year, 2003. Ned's respect and care for the land is evident in his fine art photography, much of which is photographed on his land and the surrounding area.
Ned Bushnell has a direct and emotional tie to the land on which he was born and raised, the same land he now works and the land that he photographs. The skies of the great mid-west, the rolling productive soil, the light that gives life to the photographs are inspirations for the work Ned creates. This intimate viewpoint translates into subjects that strike a response in the viewer.
