Dodd Holsapple Visual Artist
b. Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A
Holsapple created the inventive and widely popular Living Sculpture works entitled the View Planter Series. These works were extensively published and exhibited internationally. Holsapple’s studio space is located in Santa Monica, California where currently produces contemporary visual artwork in Sculpture, Drawing and Painting. Dodd Holsapple studied Visual Art at Ball State University, Muncie Indiana receiving BFA’s in Drawing and Painting.
Holsapple was interviewed for a televised documentary about new contemporary sculpture and architecture for A&E! television in 2001. Public art installations, Earthworks Now at Copper Mountain College in Joshua Tree, California / Drain Strain for the City of Manhattan Beach, California / Thicket sculpture installation and Mud DNA Chaffey College, Rancho Cucamonga / Mud Fish Mandala Fontana California along with a solo exhibition in their Artist Showcase program.
Exhibition venues / the Primitive Series artwork in the Origins show at Arizona State University / Santa Clarita City Hall and Santa Ana’s “Thinking Outside The Box” at Raven Gallery / River by Twelve was exhibited in Santa Clarita’s gallery entitled Found followed by a radio interview, Inside Out in Pittsfield, MA. Mr. Holsapple’s painting of a Lily Flower was selected for the Easter Seals lily stamp art competition.
Mr. Holsapple was featured by Everyday Leaders podcast and showcased a live painting event at Budman Studio, in the WNDW, Venice California. June 2022 the Flora Exotic series JuJu2 presented for the first time in a solo exhibition at Galleria Valerie in Northern California. Mr. Holsapple released his first NFT series; Seeds To Smoke in July 2022.
In 2023 Dodd will be exhibiting the Reflections works in Berlin Germany with Climate Collection and the Water Series exhibit at IUP in Pennsylvania. The Reflections works are published in Al-Tiba9 Magazine and The Uncoiled Magazine. In open competition, Dodd was selected and awarded a major sculpture installation scheduled for late 2023, published and documented in Croatia dealing with environmentalism and Sea Grass protection

Dodd Holsapple creates visual art examining distinctive composition blended with a maximized color theory set to data driven patterning, mathematics and time executed to uniquely verify environmental awareness.
